Phenotype
Grown in soil will be smaller and darker green than w.t.(anthocyanin accumulation). Seed yield reduced, seeds appear smaller, shrunken and darker green. does not transfer inorganic phosphate to the leaves and is most likely deficient in the loading Pi to the xylem.Will grow on soil but preferable on MS for at least a week to absorb some phosphate and then transfer to soil. Produce only 5% as many seeds as w.t. and only 55% germination, compared to 95% w.t.
